At the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, all four projects submitted by Professor Li Qunzhan’s research team from the School of Electrical Engineering were awarded Gold Medals. The winning innovations include:
1. Intelligent Interconnected co-phase Traction Power Supply System for Electrified Railway
2. Electrified Railway Single-phase Combined Co-phase Power Supply Device
3. Single-three-phase combined co-phase power supply device for rail transport
4. Intelligent Segmented Protection System for Electrified Railway
This achievement signifies international recognition of the team’s original innovation capabilities in rail transit traction power supply technology. It also exemplifies the deep industry-university-research-application collaboration between the school and Chengdu Shanghua Electric Co., Ltd.
Since 1988, Professor Li’s team has pioneered breakthroughs in co-phase traction power supply technology. Leveraging national model innovation studios and provincial engineering research centers, they have:
1. Resolved critical technical challenges in integrated co-phase power supply;
2. Developed multiple first-of-its-kind equipment;
3. Implemented national demonstration projects that filled global technological gaps.
They established a complete chain spanning theoretical research, technological innovation, and engineering applications. And these advances contribute significantly to developing new quality productive forces.
