Prof. Ma Guangtong, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, led a team to Daejeon, South Korea, from May 18-22, to participate in the 15th International Conference on Linear Drives for Industrial Applications (LDIA 2025), and  the University of Seoul, South Korea, for an academic visit.

As an important international conference on linear drives and their industrial applications, LDIA has been the main stage for scholars to exchange ideas in the fields of electromagnetic linear drives, precision magnetic levitation control and magnetic levitation. During the conference, the team focused on the current technology development trend and core scientific issues in the field of magnetic levitation, conducted extensive and in-depth discussions with international counterparts, and presented the latest researches, which were positively evaluated by peer experts. In the end, Dean Ma campaigned on behalf of the college and won the hosting right of LDIA2029.

Subsequently, Dean Ma visited Seoul National University to conduct academic exchanges with the superconducting magnets expert, Prof. Seungyong Hahn's group. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on the construction of scientific research team and the direction of future cooperation.
