Delegation Of Singapore Temasek Polytechnics Visited

On October 28, Song Guo-yun, director of the Research Office of Temasek Polytechnics, Singapore, Guan Jian-xiong, director of the Clean Energy Center, Han Ming, Chief Scientist, and Jia Jun-bo, Senior Scientist, visited the School of Electrical Engineering, SWJTU. Prof. Chen Wei-rong, dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Luo Qian-chao, secretary of the Party Committee, Prof. Ma Lei, deputy dean, and other teachers conducted a warm talk with the delegation.

Prof. Chen, on behalf of the School of Electrical Engineering, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the development and the achievements of scientific research in recent years.

       Prof. Jia Jun-bo introduced the main research of the Clean Energy Center and the study and scientific researches of exchange students from SWJTU over the years.

       Prof. Li Qi introduced the achievements of New Energy Laboratory of Rail Transit in recent years and held in-depth discussions with the delegation. Both sides fully recognized the achievements of in-depth cooperation over the past decade and hoped to further strengthen communications in personnel training, scientific research and international exchanges and jointly promote the development of new energy technologies.  

Later, the delegation conducted the wonderful academic report for the faculty and students. Dr. Jia Jun-bo introduced in detail the technologies and the research achievements of Clean Energy Center in fuel cell, lithium battery and other new energy fields. Dr. Han Ming made a detailed analysis of fuel cell electric reactor and fuel cell system in major international manufacturers. Han Ming introduced the research progress of light air-cooled proton exchange membrane fuel cell from the aspects of electric reactor structure, low temperature start-up, integrated application and future development.

       The Clean Energy Center of Singapore Temasek Polytechnics and the School of Electrical Engineering have a profound friendship and cooperation foundation. Over the past 14 years, more than 100 teachers and students have researched in the field of new energy at Temasek Polytechnics and more than 60 overseas students have studied on new energy and robotics in SWJTU. The visit further promotes the international cooperation and the development of new energy research.
