主讲人简介：Dr. Wilsun Xu，IEEE Fellow，Chief editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery

Dr. Wilsun Xu, is currently a research chair professor at theUniversityofAlberta,Canada. He obtained B.Eng. fromXianJiaotongUniversityin 1982, M.Sc. from theUniversityofSaskatchewan,Canada, in 1985, and Ph.D. from theUniversityofBritish Columbia,Canada, in 1989. From 1989 to 1996, he worked in Canadian power industry. He joined theUniversityofAlbertaas a faculty in 1996.

Dr. Xu is an expert in the field of power quality. He was elected to IEEE Fellow in 2005 for contributions to the analysis, simulation and measurement of power system harmonics. Since 2008, he has been holding the position of Senior Industrial Research Chair in Power Quality awarded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Dr. Xu serves frequently as a panelist, seminar speaker in IEEE and other conferences, and as a consultant for industry. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief for the IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery.

讲座内容简介：

This presentation is to share information with potential authors who want to publish papers in IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, Power Systems, Energy Conversion, Smart Grid and Sustainable Energy. The presentation will cover topics such as the paper review process, paper acceptance rate, plagiarism check and the upcoming changes with the PES transactions. It will also discuss a few items that will help authors, especially faculty members, to improve their paper success rate. Finally, a paper (and research work) evaluation scheme that can significantly help research work and paper writing will be explained.
